Husband and wife team take over Chester & North Wales
Before buying their own business, Andy’s career was spent in the hospitality industry, most recently working as a Business Development Manager for a national contract caterer. Meanwhile Heidi was a support worker helping vulnerable adults live independently. Prior to that, she too also worked in hospitality.
“Both of us liked the idea of running our own business and benefiting more directly from the hard work we put in,” says Andy. “We chose Driver Hire because it’s a well-respected brand and a great culture. Their emphasis on customer service fits perfectly with our own ethos.”
Heidi Balmer added: “We’re looking forward to building long-term business relationships with customers old and new and, of course, getting to know our candidates, helping them to find work. One of the things the lockdown has highlighted is that drivers are essential workers. It’s going to be very rewarding helping them find work and doing our bit to support the area in which we both live and work.”
The UK’s largest specialist supplier with a nationwide network of franchised offices, Driver Hire provides temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to local and national organisations in both the public and private sector. If they’re short of staff – perhaps because of illness, holidays or seasonal demand – Driver Hire will supply them with a suitable replacement.
