Neville becomes franchisee of Wolverhampton & Walsall
Neville Thomson, who in his youth played junior Davis Cup tennis for Great Britain, has bought Driver Hire’s Wolverhampton recruitment office.
Neville isn’t new to Driver Hire. He joined the business five years ago, working initially as a driver and then recruiter, at the Portsmouth franchise. He then did a two-year stint managing Driver Hire’s Driver CPC training programme for a section of the Driver Hire network.
“I spent the bulk of my working life in the sports/leisure/hospitality industry, much of it in Mallorca,” says Neville. “As a result, I’m a people person and that’s what the Driver Hire business is all about – providing a first-class service to clients and drivers.
“The Driver Hire brand is well-established with an outstanding reputation and has a highly successful business model,” Neville continues.
“For new franchisees it offers superb network support. Owning Driver Hire Wolverhampton also appealed because it brings me back to the area in which I grew up. I’m really looking forward to further developing the brand and, of course, my new business here in the West Midlands.”
The UK’s largest specialist supplier with a nationwide network of franchised offices, Driver Hire provides temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to local and national organisations in both the public and private sector. If they’re short of staff – perhaps because of illness, holidays or seasonal demand – Driver Hire will supply them with a suitable replacement.
