Qualified Franchise Professional at Driver Hire
Graham Duckworth, Driver Hire’s Franchise Sales Director is now a Qualified Franchise Professional (QFP).
Graham, who has been Driver Hire’s Franchise Sales Director for over five years, is based at their Bradford head office.
To achieve this prestigious industry standard, Graham had to attend a number of seminars, conferences, and mandatory courses and then completed a dissertation on franchising which was presented to the British Franchise Association (bfa). The final hurdle was a face-to-face interview with a bfa panel to discuss the content of the dissertation and ensure Graham is applying the learning to his day-to-day work.
Commenting on Graham’s success, Pip Wilkins, the bfa’s Chief Executive said:
“Our congratulations go to Graham who joins a select cohort of QFPs. Buying a franchise is a major financial decision so it’s important that the people selling them are of the highest calibre. Graham is a perfect example. The qualification demonstrates that Graham understands best practice in franchising. In addition, it also shows that he is keen to continue developing his knowledge, understanding and professionalism which will be of benefit to potential new franchisees.”
The UK’s largest specialist supplier with a nationwide network of franchised offices, Driver Hire franchisees provide temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to local and national organisations in both the public and private sector. If they’re short of staff – perhaps because of illness, holidays or seasonal demand – Driver Hire will supply them with a suitable replacement.
It is also one of the UK’s longest-standing franchise businesses. It sold its first franchise over 30 years ago in May 1987. Over the intervening years its network has grown to over 100 offices nationwide, 92 of which are franchised. It is highly respected within the industry and has been a bfa HSBC ‘Franchisor of the Year’ finalist in twelve out of the last thirteen years.
Whilst Driver Hire is a mature franchise, there are still plenty of franchise opportunities and resale businesses for sale throughout the UK.
