Less stress for Driver Hire franchisees over new HMRC legislation.
With the start of the new financial year the HMRC is now asking all recruiters and employment intermediaries to submit a new quarterly return – a detailed record of every non PAYE contractor or temporary candidate they place.
Whilst the first reports aren’t due until the 5th August 2015 the new regulations, according to trade press, seem to be causing some confusion within the recruitment industry.
Driver Hire franchisees who operate as recruiters throughout the UK don’t need to worry about the new legislation as the Driver Hire head office and franchisor is already putting plans in place to support the network in time for the submission deadline.
“At Driver Hire we’re always pro-active when it comes to new legislation that affects the industries we work in”, comments Lee Devenish, Driver Hire’s Network Development Director. “Our IT development team is already working on our bespoke industry specific database in order to streamline the reporting our franchised network needs to carry out with these new changes in mind. As a franchised network the support we provide means our franchisees can concentrate on serving our customers and building their business instead of worrying about possible HMRC fines.”
