A charity fund-raising day across franchised network raises £3,600 for charities
A charity fund-raising day across Driver Hire’s nationwide network has raised £3,600 for two excellent charities: ‘Macmillan Cancer’ and ‘Walking with the Wounded’. All part of Driver Hire’s thirtieth anniversary celebrations, which continue through to the summer, Driver Hire offices donated £1 for every shift they provided for their customers on the day.
“It was a fantastic effort,” says Driver Hire’s Chief Executive, Chris Chidley. “Indeed some of our more generous offices donated more than their actual number of shifts. Prior to the big day, we committed to donate an extra pound for every shift our offices covered, and this took the total to £3,600. When we were deciding what to do to celebrate thirty successful years in business we felt that it was important that others should benefit – and this has been a perfect way of doing just that.”
