If you go down to the office today

Franchisor Driver Hire staff for Children in Need 2013Staff at the head office of franchise business, Driver Hire, the leading transport and logistics recruitment specialists, had a big surprise on ‘Children in Need‘ day. They’d been invited to bring their favourite teddy to work for the day to help raise funds for the BBC’s national fund raiser.

The bears were put on display and work colleagues then had to decide which bear belonged to which colleague. The response was excellent with the vast majority of staff admitting that they still had a much loved bear or cuddly toy and bringing it with them to work.

Driver Hire’s head office team also participated in a lunchtime quiz. It included a round on ‘things that you may not know about your colleagues’ with some interesting and hilarious revelations. They also took part in a raffle and a ‘dress down’ Friday. Thanks to pound-for-pound matching from Driver Hire, their fund-raising efforts raised just short of £500, an excellent result.

“We’ve supported Children in Need’ for many years,” says Driver Hire’s Marketing Director, Richard Owen-Hughes. “Of course our main focus, as ever, has to be to maintaining a good service to our 100 office nationwide network, but it’s good to have some fun in the office and raise money for a good cause.”
