Business owners urged to get help with their marketing straight away
New business owners have been urged to invest in help with their marketing from the word go.
Scott Knox, who is director of the Marketing Agencies Association, questioned why many executives felt that a solid marketing strategy wasn’t important to them at launch.
In an interview with guardian.co.uk, Knox said that digital marketing should be at the crux of any marketing campaign. He also slammed those who try to muddle their way through their advertising campaigns.
“The two most important things for a start-up business are finance and marketing. Startups should be speaking to marketing agencies from the beginning – even if it is just sitting down and having a chat in order to get some serious insight from an expert,” he said.
Knox’s opinions are likely to provide food for thought for anyone thinking of launching their own business, whether they have their own idea or are looking to start a franchise.
In an article submitted to business2community.com, marketing blogger Bill Parlaman suggested that even those who have been in business for some time might want to consider a change in their marketing strategy.
“Dead! That’s exactly what your business is if your marketing doesn’t reinvent itself in the new economy,” he exclaimed.
